About us

Turicum is the Latin name of the city Zurich in Switzerland. Our family settled in Denmark WA after coming from Switzerland in 1982. Our first Chalet Heidi was built shortly after and named after my Aunt (my mums sister). The Chalets Ines and Rita were built in the early 90s and named after our swiss aupairs. Our plan is to slowely bring our chalets back to reperesenting our swiss heritage and ensure they are filled with elements that can be found in a cosy swiss alpine chalet.

We are family run with three generations living and working on the property. We are located 10km west of the town of Denmark and a few minutes drive from nearby beaches. The region offers many exciting activities such as wine tasting, swimming, snorkelling, surfing, fishing, bush walking, rock climbing and off road 4 wheel driving.

Our chalets are located on our 200 acre property which is also the home of Monkey Rock Winery. The chalets are next to our vineyard and within a bush setting.

We have five donkeys who love to be fed carrots if you have children who like animals. There are also many walking tracks on farm or the bibbulmun track runs past our farm.

We have three two-bedroom chalets on our farm. Detailed information can be found here.
